Max Verstappen has once again scored a victory in the virtual iRacing class. This time it was a special race: The 24 Hours of Nürburgring, driven on the legendary long layout of the circuit, the Nordschleife.

Verstappen participated in the virtual race on behalf of Team Redline, together with Max Benecke and Chris Lulham. The team started the race well with pole position, after which the three drivers drove a mostly dominant race.

Scary moment for Verstappen

Verstappen came in action during the evening and night, where he experienced a blood-curdling moment as he was nearly torpedoed by the Urano car, which was attempting an overtake. Verstappen was well awake, however, and managed to avoid a crash.

After this, Team Redline remained dominant, and managed to keep the first place for the rest of the race. In the end Max Benecke drove the BMW across the finish line first, with a lead of no less than 3:19.585 over the Team BMW Bank car with Rainer Talvar behind the wheel.
