Verstappen's extra championship point taken away: "Really? That's a bit strange"

Max Verstappen finished second in the Portuguese Grand Prix. On the circuit of Portimo he managed to split the Mercedes cars of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. A second victory in a row appeared not to be feasible in the Algarve and Verstappen has peace with that, as he told immediately after the race.
"It was solid," Verstappen told Paul di Resta afterwards."I had a good restart and I wanted to put the pressure on Bottas. However, we just had too little speed overall. Lewis came back and passed me."
Thanks to an undercut, Verstappen managed to seize eighteen points. "After the pit stop I grabbed Bottas, we knew that warming up the tyres would be very difficult. After conquering P2 you could clearly see that we were missing some speed compared to them," he is honest about the pace of the RB16B Sunday afternoon.
Verstappen disappointed with stewards
On the final lap, Verstappen also looked set to set the fastest lap of the race, but track limits meant the extra World Cup point eventually went to Bottas. Verstappen only gets to hear that during the interview."Really, that's a bit strange, because they didn't check track limits in turn fourteen," he sounds disappointed.
Verstappen concludes by reporting, "This was a bit of a strange weekend. We'll see what we can do in Barcelona."
