Valtteri Bottas has been on a good run all weekend at Paul Ricard but lost out in qualifying. He will start third, behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes driver is not completely satisfied with the result but does not think there was more to it.

Bottas not satisfied, but more was not in it

"It was a strong weekend," Bottas began after qualifying. "Definitely better than a few weeks ago. We had the pace, and we saw today that it's close between us and Red Bull."

According to the Finn, there wasn't much more in it for him today, and he's not completely satisfied with that. "I can't really be happy with third place because it was a good weekend, but Red Bull were faster today, " he says.

Bottas will start third in the race on Sunday, ahead of Sergio Perez. Both drivers will try to make things difficult for each other, putting themselves in a position to help their teammate to victory.
