Hamilton: 'Should be an easy win for Verstappen now'

Lewis Hamilton got away badly in the sprint race at Monza, losing many places. The Briton sees the lead of competitor Max Verstappen already growing.
It was not an optimal Saturday for Lewis Hamilton. The Briton had a dramatic start on the Italian track and saw not only Verstappen pass him but also both McLarens. This means that the seven-time world champion has to start the Italian Grand Prix from the fourth position on the grid.
Disappointment for Hamilton
In front of the Sky Sports F1 camera, the Briton is therefore certainly not satisfied with his performance. "It all started with the bad start. We lost a lot of points today. We also underestimated the soft tyres and how they would behave. I now have to figure out how I'm going to get past the McLarens tomorrow. I will try to limit the damage," explained Hamilton.
"Everyone has been able to see the speed of the Verstappen and the Red Bull. I don't know if he was faster than Valtteri, but at least he is very fast and he is starting from pole, so it should be an easy win for him. In the meantime, I just have to try to get past those two guys in front of me," concluded the world champion.
