Patrick savours Verstappen's title fight: "You can see the desperation"

Former IndyCar and NASCAR driver Danica Patrick will join Skysports for the United States Grand Prix and indicates that she is enjoying Max Verstappen's title fight with Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton goes for 'GOAT' medal
The title fight is more exciting in 2021 than in recent years, with Hamilton having little to fear from his opponents apart from Nico Rosberg in 2016. Verstappen is currently ahead by a small points margin and with just six races to go the battle is still open.
On Skysport.com Patrick says: "I love that Max is this young driver and Lewis is the guy going for the official GOAT medal of most wins, most poles and most championships this year, so I'm sure he really wants to win his eighth,"
"Then you've got someone who's just dying to make that not happen for him."
Battle between Verstappen and Hamilton intensifies
Patrick saw Hamilton startled by Verstappen's sudden strong form this season. "He maybe knew that if he's going to win that eighth championship, it's not going to be so straightforward", she said.
"You're seeing more desperation and more passion. These are drivers that want the same thing and only one can have it."
