Blistering battle between Max and Lewis: 'Hopefully as it happened to me'
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are having a thrilling season together. Where the Dutchman is on top of the world championship standings, Hamilton is ready to take over. Felipe Massa however has a clear favourite: Verstappen.
The former Formula 1 driver is enjoying the season so far. "It's a very exciting world championship," he told AS.com. "We have what we want, a fight between two drivers and two teams. That's what the fans and I want to see. Hopefully it will stay that way until the last corner of the last race, as it happened to me. I fought for the title until the last corner of the last race in 2008. I hope it will be the same."
Verstappen's best chance of winning the world title
With the Grands Prix of Mexico and Brazil ahead of them, Red Bull Racing seem to have a slight advantage with Verstappen. Although Massa thinks Hamilton won't give in easily, he thinks the Limburger has the best chance of winning the world title.
"My favourite is Verstappen. It's important that a new driver wins. I don't like the same driver winning over and over again. Hamilton deserves it and he is an incredible driver, with all the records, but my support goes to Verstappen. It depends on his work now at the end of the championship, but he has a great chance."
