BREAKING: Hamilton gets away with reprimand after FP1 incident

Lewis Hamilton had to answer to the stewards after the first free practice session because he had exceeded the track limits. The verdict has been passed: the Mercedes driver can breathe a sigh of relief, because he got away with a reprimand.
Hamilton gets away with a warning
The rules regarding track limits for the Mexican Grand Prix are considerable. The issue for Hamilton was the track limit in the first corner combination. If a driver goes off track there he has to make a detour and drive around a pole at turn 3.
That's where it went wrong for Hamilton: he shot straight through at turn 1, but instead of making the mandatory detour he went over the grass before getting back on track at turn 3. Hamilton indicated that slowing down there was not possible.
Kimi Raikkonen also got away with a reprimand. The Finn had to report to the stewards just after Hamilton for a similar incident, but it didn't affect him too much either.
