Perez knows Friday is not representative: "Tomorrow will be closer"

Sergio Perez could not approach the time of a strong Max Verstappen in the second free practice. The Red Bull Racing driver closed behind both Mercedes in fourth place, just over half a second from his Dutch teammate. Perez is reasonably satisfied with his Friday.
"It was a positive day. I am feeling more comfortable in the long run than over one lap. There is still potential to improve the car over one lap. Its going to be very close with the Mercedes, hopefully are able to we close out the front row," Perez told the Sky Sports camera.
Friday not a representative day
In FP2 Mercedes was still the fastest team, while in FP2 Red Bull was a lot faster with Verstappen. Often the practice sessions on Friday don't give everything away, even Perez knows that. According to him, it will be an exciting qualifying session.
"I think it's not a representative day. I think tomorrow it will be even closer. It will be interesting to see," said the Mexican.
