The title battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen is still very much on and it has heated up after Hamilton took pole for the sprint in Brazil. Formula 1 journalist Peter Windsor believes that both drivers are giving everything and is very impressed.

In the first free practice session Hamilton was busy doing fast laps, but at the same time he was not at all happy with his front suspension. This problem seemed to be solved at the end of the session and in qualifying for the sprint race he managed to take pole position. According to Peter Windsor, the Brit was really on a mission during these sessions.

"Mercedes got the car handling very well and Lewis was on a mission to get the fastest lap and pole. Dare I say it, he has a Senna theme on his helmet this weekend, and he started in karting with a Senna theme and Senna meant a lot to him for a number of reasons not just a racing driver but the way Senna was off the track as well. That was a Senna lap we saw today," the Formula One journalist said on his YouTube video about the GP.

Verstappen's confidence evident

Windsor was also very impressed with Verstappen. The Dutchman will start this Grand Prix weekend with a lead in the championship and has a lot of confidence due to his recent victories and the performance of his car. "I would say right now, where Max needs to be in order to do a great job in Brazil on Sunday is that he's right there. It's really impressive to watch how he's been patient."
