Colombian former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montaya also goes over the incident between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in turn four during the Brazilian Grand Prix. Montoya doubts the intentions of the Dutchman.

Unfair play by Verstappen?

Verstappen gave no quarter to rival Hamilton and caused them both to end up off-track after the corner. It's a much-discussed moment, as Verstappen was not penalized for it.

Montoya expressed his suspicions of the Dutchman at This Week with Will Buxton: "“My honest opinion, the way I think Max looks at it is: if they crash he gains points. “As long as Lewis doesn't finish ahead of him, he's in a better situation for the championship."

Montaya questions Verstappen's intentions

Montoya's accusation is a serious one. The Colombian seems to suspect Verstappen of unsportsmanlike play. “Lewis was alongside him and cleared him in the braking zone. There was no way as late as he braked he was gonna make the corner. I don't think he had much of an intention of making the corner."

With three races to go and a strong-looking Mercedes, it will be a particularly exciting denouement in the championship. The rivalry is on edge.
