Max Verstappen Red Bull responds interest Mercedes and Aston Martin

Red Bull Racing are doing everything they can to make Max Verstappen stay with the team even beyond the 2025 season, while their rivals are chasing the Dutchman to get his signature. Verstappen is aware he has many options available to him in 2026, but told Motorsport.com that he has other things to worry about for now.

While Verstappen has a contract with Red Bull until 2028, in recent months, Mercedes team principal and CEO Toto Wolff has flirted with the idea of trying to sign the Dutchman to his team. The Austrian has since stopped, but with George Russell not having a contract beyond the upcoming year, it is easy to imagine that he will once again start knocking on Verstappen's doors. Moreover, there are Aston Martin, where Verstappen could continue to work with Honda and Adrian Newey.

Aston Martin, Mercedes or still Red Bull for Verstappen?

Of course, the Red Bull contract is still in place, and they want to keep him at their team. Therefore, many options are available for the Dutchman. "Yes, of course, I know it's possible, but I'm not really thinking about it right now," Verstappen said, referring to the final six Grands Prix of the season, where he has to keep his lead against Lando Norris.

For now, Verstappen does not think about the future, and then he will see what happens next. "At the moment I am not really thinking about it too much, to be honest. But if it doesn't happen, then so be it. It won't change my life."
