Verstappen remains positive after difficult day in Vegas: 'Everyone has this'

The first day at the Las Vegas Grand Prix was a disappointing one for Max Verstappen. During both FP1 and FP2, the Dutchman faced several problems. But despite that, after the sessions, he remained positive and looked ahead to the Grand Prix.
In Brazil, Verstappen showed a true masterclass with his Red Bull, winning the Grand Prix from P17. After a two-week break, the Grand Prix weekend takes place this weekend in the 'Sin City'. So far, Verstappen has had difficult sessions, suffering from understeer, low grip and balance problems, among others, resulting in lock-ups and aborted laps.
Difficulties for all in Las Vegas
Speaking after the sessions, Verstappen said the cold temperatures were causing problems. "It was slippery. We had a lot of trouble getting the tyres to work, especially over one lap," Verstappen said.
For the Grand Prix, the forecast looks good according to the Dutchman. "Long run, I think started off more competitive but even there we need to fine-tune things. Unique conditions here, but that is the same for everyone at the end of the day. We need to understand what we are doing wrong at the moment. For me, it feels tyre related. Balance of the car is not wrong I don't think, we have no grip. It's like driving on ice," concluded Verstappen to F1TV.
