Max Verstappen will drive his first race as a four-time world champion this weekend in Qatar. As he had already scored enough points to win at Las Vegas, Lando Norris cannot pass him in the standings. Despite this, he still wants to win.

"Winning the championship was an incredible moment, and I am so proud of what we have achieved as a team and myself. This win really means a lot to us, and becoming a four-time world champion was something I had never thought possible. I want to thank everyone who has been part of this success for all the support this year; what a season we have had. There were difficult moments, but we stuck together, never gave up and came back stronger, and that's what makes the season so special," Verstappen said.

Verstappen looks ahead to next weekend

As this race weekend features both a sprint and feature race, there will only be one free practice session. After that, the next session is sprint qualifying. Saturday holds both the sprint race and the feature race qualifying, while Sunday keeps the traditional race layout.

"Looking at Qatar, we are still staying focused. It will be a busy weekend because it is a sprint weekend. Of course, the season is not over yet, and we still want to keep the momentum and take home as many points as possible for the team, so bring on the next two races," the Red Bull driver concluded.
