Max Verstappen and the 19 other Formula 1 drivers are due back in their cars for the first official F1 session of 2025 after a long break, with winter testing set to take place in Bahrain from 26 to 28 of February in Bahrain. After was was a gruelling, action packed Formula 1 season with 24 Grand Prix weekends, all the teams and their respective drivers were able to switch off and take a much needed holiday. But, for a while yet, every team has resumed full activities ahead of the 2025 season. Last week, we also saw several shakedowns take place, including Ferrari'. In addition, the F1 75 Live event, where all the liveries the teams will race in the coming season were unveiled at the O2 Arena in London.
What will be the weather in Bahrain?
Later this week, winte testing will take place from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28, at the Bahrain International Circuit. On Wednesday, temperatures will be cool. According to Weather.com, it will be no warmer than 17 degrees Celsius. The teams need not fear that any testing time will be lost due to possible rain. In fact, there is only a 2 per cent chance of precipitation on Wednesday which rises to 15% during the night. Humidity is expected to be at 49%.
The wind is, however, expected to be strong, reaching speeds between 30 and 50 km/h and blowing fom the NNW, with its direction varying slightly to the NW in the evening. The forecast as of yet is partly cloudy.
On Thursday, however, it is expected to be cloudy and temperatures are estimated to be at 20°C during the day. The chance of precipitation will soar to a 24% in Bahrain throughout the day. Wind speed will again be in the range of 30 km/h, and will blow from the NNW, with humidity set to increase to 54%.
Friday is the warmest it will be in the trio of testing days in the Middle Eastern country, with temperatures climbing as high as 19 degrees, however the chances of rainfall are minimal, descending to a mere 1 per cent. The wind will remain consistent with a speed going from the 30 to the 50 km/h range again, with directions remaining consistent, blowing from the NNW. Humidity will drop to 50% and the forecast for the day is partly cloudy with the occassional ray of sunshine touching down on the track.
