The bombshell transfer of recent times, Lewis Hamilton's switch from Mercedes to Ferrari, is now 'a normal picture' for the German team's leader, Toto Wolff, who despite boasting a great relationship with his former driver is clear on one thing ahead of the 2025 season start in Australia.

"In these fast-paced times, you get used to it quickly. In the meantime, it's a normal picture for me," said Wolff of how long it took for him to 'get used' to seeing Hamilton at Ferrari. Although the Austrian does 'take issue' with his former driver's choice of attire for his announcement as the Scuderia's new driver. Looking back on the iconic picture Wolff adds: "That's when I told him: 'I'll try to get you into a suit for 12 years, and then you'll do it on day 1 at Ferrari.' We both laughed a lot."

Wolff wants to beat Hamilton

, that's off the track, on-track it'll be a very different dynamic. "It's not that bad. We are very good friends. On the personal side, I wish him only the best, on the race track we want to beat him."

Following the Bahrain pre-season testing, every F1 analyst has been racking their brain trying to uncover the true F1 pecking order ahead of the 2025 season start. For Wolff, however, the situation is clear, and his former driver, Hamilton, should be in Mercedes' rear-view mirror when the season gets underway.

"The balance of power after the tests in Bahrain is that four teams are pretty much on a par on a fast lap, perhaps with a small advantage for Norris (runner-up last year with McLaren, ed.). In the race simulations, the two McLarens are clearly ahead, with Verstappen, us and Ferrari just behind," concluded Wolff.
