Sunday marks the first Grand Prix of the season, and after an exciting qualifying session, along with the possibility of some rain, it promises to be a spectacle. This is the provisional starting grid for the 2025 F1 Australian Grand Prix.

Lando Norris, after securing pole position, will start the Australian Grand Prix from first place, with his teammate, Oscar Piastri, starting next to him in P2, with McLaren locking out the front row and showing why they look to be the team to beat in 2025.

Max Verstappen, to his own surprise, will start in third place in Melbourne. After free practice, the Dutchman had little faith in a strong starting position, but during qualifying, he was able to pull the strings. However, for teammate Liam Lawson, the session went less smoothly. The New Zealander will have to start from P18.

George Russell will start from P4, with the Briton happy with his starting spot, whereas his teammate, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, has to start from P16. The two surprises in the top ten were Yuki Tsunoda on P5 and Alexander Albon on P6, with both of them starting ahead of both Ferraris.

Charles Leclerc was the faster of the two Scuderia's in P7, while Lewis Hamilton in his first qualifying session for the Prancing Horse was only able to set the eighth fastest lap of the session.
