On Friday, February 18, we get to see the new Mercedes for the first time. The championship team will then present the W13 with which Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will compete for the title. On Tuesday the team's new merchandise was released.

Will Mercedes keep the black livery?

Mercedes' famous silver colour, from which it got its nickname "silver arrows", disappeared in 2020 when the team opted for the black livery at Hamilton's initiative as a support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

It was recently rumoured that the team will return to the traditional silver colour in 2022, but after previously seeing Russell in a black race suit, the team's new merchandise presented today is also in the black livery of the past two years. So it looks like we will not see a return of the silver arrows.

Friday launch of W13 with Hamilton

The W13 will be presented to the public on Friday at 10:00am and the team will take to the track the same day. Hamilton will be present at the presentation despite all the rumours of the past months.
