Hamilton passes Red Bull for first impression
- GPblog.com
Lewis Hamilton is gearing up for a new season in Formula 1. On the first test day in Barcelona, the Briton took the opportunity to have a look at the other teams. He also walked past Red Bull Racing.
The seven-time world champion narrowly missed out on the world title at the end of 2021. While Hamilton was ahead for a long time and seemed to be grabbing the victory, Nicholas Latifi turned the season on its head. His crash allowed Verstappen to pass Hamilton after all. After his defeat he was silent for two months, but now he is back.
Hamilton hopes to take the record away from Michael Schumacher this season and win his eighth world title. For that, however, a lot is still needed, because due to the new regulations Mercedes has a lot of work to do. However, the driver has a lot of confidence in the new car.

Hamilton runs past Red Bull
Since George Russell was in the car in the morning session, Hamilton had the opportunity to walk past the different teams. In this way he also came close to Red Bull Racing who managed to beat him last calendar year. The coming weeks will show whether we will see another battle between the two teams in 2022.
