The first-ever Grand Prix in Miami gets underway on Sunday and it will be Charles Leclerc who will start the race from the front when the lights go out at 20:30. Together with Carlos Sainz he will try everything to score another one-two, but at Red Bull Racing they will pull out all the stops to prevent that from happening.

Verstappen from P3

Max Verstappen had to attack from third place after a mistake on his last flying lap in Q3. Sergio Perez almost managed to approach his Dutch teammate's time, but beating the Ferrari's was too much for him too. Valtteri Bottas became "the best of the rest" with a fifth position.

What further stands out in the top ten is the fact that we see two AlphaTauri drivers. Pierre Gasly set a great seventh time, while Yuki Tsunoda also did well with a P9. Furthermore, we saw Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and the surprising Lance Stroll all make it to Q3.

Esteban Ocon will presumably start from the pit lane after a chassis change. The Alpine driver could not start in qualifying because his car was too badly damaged after his crash in the third free practice session.
