Miami GP Full Results | Verstappen on top, but Ferrari score more points
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen managed to trump Charles Leclerc in the first ever Miami Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing driver seemed to be heading for a comfortable victory, but a safety car put him to work for a while longer. Leclerc is the driver who still leads the world championship.
The final podium spot went to Carlos Sainz. He managed to keep Sergio Perez, who actually drove the entire race in fourth place, behind him. The fact that the Mexican driver missed out on the podium is striking, though. In the last ten laps he drives on fresh rubber, but he cannot make up any more positions.
Best of the rest is George Russell. He managed to keep Lewis Hamiltno, Valtteri Bottas, Fernando Alonso, Esteban Ocon and Alexander Albon behind him. For Albon, it meant another handsome World Championship point in a Williams that is not very competitive at all.
