Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto sounds doubtful after the Miami Grand Prix. He is happy that his team leads both championships and takes home many points, but at the same time he fears the advance of Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen.

On Saturday, Ferrari dominantly grabbed the first row of the grid during qualifying. Max Verstappen made a rare mistake in his last lap before the flag fell in Q3 that cost him dearly. At least it seemed that way that Saturday, but on Sunday the Dutchman turned his P3 into a win. At the start, the Dutchman took Carlos Sainz and moments later he outsmarted Charles Leclerc. After the safety car things got tense, but all in all it was a solid performance by Verstappen who did what he had to do with his faster Red Bull.

Binotto in doubt

Binotto knows he can't be very dissatisfied, but can't put the fast form of Red Bull and Verstappen out of his mind: "We can't be completely satisfied with today. Although the F1-75 was fast, the rivals were a few tenths per lap faster. If you look at the amount of points we take home, we can't be very dissatisfied either. We lead both championships, but it's clear that we have to come up with an answer."

At the end of his speech, the Italian nevertheless opts for satisfaction and thanks the drivers for a rock-solid performance. The next Grand Prix is in Spain and there Ferrari is expected to take full advantage of the slow corners. Possibly Ferrari has a big advantage there and thus the opportunity to give the answer Binotto is looking for.
