Aston Martin was hoping to do better in Miami after a disappointing start to the season. Sebastian Vettel was on course to bring in points for his team, but suddenly ran into Mick Schumacher at the end of the race. Team owner Mike Krack reacted in conversation with F1insider.com very critical of the incident.

Schumacher is still without points after more than a season in Formula 1. In the United States, he made a good impression and came close to his first top ten ranking, until he drove hard into the side of Vettel's car. It caused the German to have to abandon the race early.

It happened entirely through no fault of Vettel's, according to Krack. "He was in ninth place, which would have meant valuable World Cup points," he analyzed. "Unfortunately, Seb then crashed out through no fault of his own due to a collision with the overzealous Schumacher."

Behind the scenes, there are sounds that Aston Martin will come up with a different version of the current car for the GP in Spain. This should ensure that the team regains its connection to the midfield of Formula 1 and moves away from the bottom positions.
