Many German drivers are going to work for television in their country after their Formula One careers to share their knowledge as experts. Nico Rosberg, Nico Hulkenberg, Ralf Schumacher and Timo Glock are all working or have worked for German television, but Sebastian Vettel, at least, is not going to do that.

This is what the four-time world champion tells the French news agency AFP. In recent weeks, rumours have been increasingly circulating that Vettel may be hanging up his helmet after next season. So if he leaves Formula 1, we won't see him back on television as an analyst anytime soon."I'm not going to be a TV pundit. No, no."

Vettel himself says he does not yet know what he will do after 2022. It is possible that he will sign a new deal with Aston Martin in the pinnacle of motorsport, but that will depend mainly on his performance this season. If the AMR22 is only doing its laps in the rear, Vettel does not seem to have any intention of resigning.

Continue to race?

The moment Vettel will leave Formula 1 is getting closer anyway, whether after this year or further down the road. In any case, Vettel wants to stay involved in motorsport. Possibly he will show his skills at a lower level. "It's what I love, so you never know. Maybe I'll keep racing, but maybe not right away," he is referring to a small sabbatical.
