Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing mainly feared Circuit Zandvoort and the high level of downforce it requires. Now that this GP was also won, Verstappen sees no weak spots for the rest of the F1 season.

Whereas Red Bull Racing has often relied on tracks with more downforce in recent years, that will not be the case in 2022. The RB18 thrives on high-speed circuits where a car needs to be as efficient as possible. Zandvoort was therefore seen as a difficult race for Red Bull beforehand, but in hindsight that turned out to be not so bad.

Verstappen warns Ferrari

Looking ahead to the rest of the season, Verstappen is not so worried. FIA press conference Tifosi, then, is not so concerned. ''Not real weaknesses but we know at some places where we are stronger than others, we know on a high downforce track that it's a bit of a more difficult situation to get the best out of our package,'' says the reigning world champion.

''I think if you look at the whole season, of course, you have more tracks with kind of medium downforce levels and I think our car is very efficient. So that's why I think we're all looking forward to Monza,'' Verstappen concluded with a seriously frightening statement for the Tifosi.
