Sergio Perez was disappointed with the result after qualifying at Silverstone. With a fourth-place, he is just behind Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, but the Mexican knows better than anyone how difficult it will be to beat the three.

The weather was bad in England on Saturday afternoon, with the Formula One teams having to deal with a lot of rainfall. On the intermediates, Perez tried to do everything he could to secure a place in the top three, hoping to take pole position.

However, Verstappen's teammate did not manage to set his lap faster than the trio, meaning he will start Sunday's race from fourth place. "Of course I wanted more today, but I think we can work from there," Perez responded afterwards to Viaplay's camera.

Confidence remains with Perez

Perez did not hide his disappointment, but at the same time, he said to have a lot of confidence in his team. The Mexican said that everything is still possible on Sunday. "I will be confident for tomorrow's race," said Perez, who is second in the world championship.
