Red Bull's 'biggest talent' makes debut in an F1 car

8 January at 15:30

Red Bull has travelled to Houston, where the team put on several exciting demos for the fans. In the latest episode of Showrunners, Arvid Lindblad makes his debut in an F1 car, joining cars from various other categories on the track.

Arvid Lindblad is considered by team advisor Helmut Marko as the Red Bull Junior Team's greatest talent. After finishing fourth in the 2024 Formula 3 championship, Lindblad will make his appearance in Formula 2 in 2025. He will become Isack Hadjar 's successor at Campos Racing and the teammate of another Red Bull talent, Pepe Marti.

How Red Bull are preparing Lindblad

Red Bull has been keeping Arvid Lindblad busy over the winter in preparation for a potential F1 entry. To help him accumulate the necessary points for an F1 super license, the team sent him to Oceania to compete in the Formula Regional championship. With 30 points on his license, Lindblad could be eligible to participate in his first F1 free practice session.

In 2025, Red Bull will need a new driver to participate in these mandatory rookie practice sessions. In 2024, Isack Hadjar and Ayumu Iwasa filled that role. While Iwasa could still be considered for the 2025 season, Red Bull will likely prioritize giving its most promising talent, Lindblad, as many opportunities as possible to prepare for a potential F1 debut in 2026.
