With Chase Carey and Jean Todt in important positions within the FIA and Formula 1, interesting negotiations are at stake. Both will eventually be replaced, but the big question is by whom?

New top man in Formula 1?

Toto Wolff would qualify for both roles. Wolff is responsible for making Mercedes a great success and he seems to be the ideal leader. However, opponents would not be very happy, due to the possibly privileged position that Mercedes would have if that scenario is actually happining. However, another option isn't ideal either.

According to the Italian Autosprint, former Ferrari top man Luca di Montezemolo is also in the run to be the successor of Todt at the FIA. This would mean that one former Ferrari man would replace the other, which would allow the influence of the Italian team to remain strong in F1. Marc Priestley discusses this and much more in his latest video.
