Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen had a chat in the press conference after the Bahrain Grand Prix. The idea that drivers in Formula 1 can decide for themselves whether they still want to take action after a serious crash was decisively dismissed by Verstappen. Hamilton then addressed the spicy statement of his Dutch rival.

Verstappen indicated that, as team boss, he would show a driver the door if he no longer wanted to take action. Hamilton then says: "I hope you're never my team boss. I feel sorry for everyone anyone who is going to be your driver in the future," the seven-time world champion laughs.

The 23-year-old Dutchman recently indicated that he does not yet know what his life will look like when he is finished in Formula 1, but the Red Bull Racing driver does not like a role like that of Christian Horner. "I hope I will never be a team principal."

The moment can be seen at 12 minutes 40 seconds in the press conference video.
