Verstappen wins another title with his hobby as a sim racer

For the second time, the Virtual Competition Organisation (VC) presented the Simmy Awards. In fourteen categories the VCO recognizes exceptional performances in Esports. Max Verstappen once again walked away with a title.

Over 6000 fans voted. Verstappen was voted the world's best Real Pro Sim Racer. The Dutchman can add the title to a nice list: Formula 1 World Champion, Sportsman of the Year in The Netherlands and more impressive achievements during the season.

Multiple victories

Verstappen is an experienced sim racer and does it with a lot of love. The one-time world champion can often be seen online during iRacing events. Together with the famous Team Redline, he took part in the 24 Hours of Spa. He finished with teammates Jeff Giassi and Gianni Vecchio in an impressive fifth place, as their car was not able to go for the victory.

Furthermore, Verstappen won the twelve hours of Bathurst and the 24 hours of the Nürburgring with his teams this year. Earlier, the Dutchman explained how sim racing also helps him with Formula 1. The whole show can be seen here on YouTube.
