Sainz undisturbed: "Some people have too much spare time"

Next year, Carlos Sainz will make the dream changeover to Ferrari. A change that he previously said he would always say yes to, no matter how good or bad the team would be. The fact that Ferrari is currently in a much worse shape than his current team McLaren makes many comments.
Having faith
McLaren (106 points) is currently third in the championship, Ferrari (74 points) sixth. Should Ferrari finish the season in that spot, it would be the worst ranking for the Italians since 1980. In that year Ferrari came no further than tenth. The changeover does not seem to be the right one for the young Spaniard, but he remains proud behind his decision. He is confident that the team from Maranello will get back on track.
Good jokes
On social media in particular, the move by Sainz is often laughed at, but that does not bother him very much either. "One can laugh as much as one wants, honestly true", Sainz reacts in an interview with Motorsport.com. "I think some of the jokes themselves are actually quite funny. But anyway, some people have a little too much spare time and then they come up with this kind of funny stuff. But I can laugh about that myself. Not that those people are right. They're just good jokes. That's the way I think they're meant to be, so that's fine."
